Adverse weather conditions across the UK
With the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings across much of the UK this week the forecast is pretty awful, with widespread disruption to road, rail and air transport likely.
This bout of bad weather is now a known situation and therefore would not be covered on cancellation and abandonment policies arranged now.
If you bought your event insurance some time ago when the current bad weather was not a known circumstance and you believe your event is at risk of disruption, cancellation or abandonment we recommend you call our claims team as soon as possible.
Once the weather returns to seasonal norms it will cease to be a general existing circumstance and will be insurable again.
This situation once again illustrates the importance of planning ahead and buying event insurance early in the event management process.
We will be pleased to answer your questions on this.
