IMPORTANT NOTICE : IMMINENT SEVERE WEATHER

Please note that no event insurance will cover a cause of loss which exists or threatened at the time of taking out the insurance. If there is a severe weather forecast available which is predicted to affect the location of an event within the next 14 days, then that is probably a known potential existing cause of loss, and you may not therefore be able to sign the declaration on the application form. In such circumstances you should contact us before buying cancellation cover, as we may still be able to offer cover, subject to underwriting.

This applies particularly to remote or upland areas known to be susceptible, or low lying areas susceptible to flooding, if that is the risk.

For this reason, we always recommend buying event insurance well ahead of the date of your event.
